  • New Flutter apps. One codebase and one team for both stores, with the server and admin panel planned alongside.
  • Flutter MVPs. Only what you need to test the idea on real users. See MVP development.
  • Adding Flutter to an existing app. New sections built in Flutter inside your current Android or iOS app.
  • Moving an app to Flutter. From React Native, or from two native apps, in planned stages.
  • Reviving an old Flutter app. Old Flutter versions and abandoned plugins, brought up to current store rules.
  • Dedicated Flutter developers. If you'd rather hire Flutter developers in India for your own team, we provide them on written terms.

When Flutter Is the Right Choice, and When It Isn't

Flutter draws every pixel of the app itself and reaches the phone's hardware through plugins. So it is very good at screens, and less direct with hardware.

Flutter fits well when the app's value is in its screens: catalogues, carts, bookings, forms, dashboards, chat and payments, with one design and one team for both platforms.

Flutter with native modules suits apps where one part leans on the phone. That part is written in Kotlin and Swift; the rest stays in Flutter. Typical cases:

  • A vendor SDK only for Android or iOS, such as a card terminal or biometric scanner. It needs a small native bridge on each platform.
  • Bluetooth devices. Plugins cover common Bluetooth Low Energy work, but older printers and medical devices often need native code. We test with your actual device early.
  • Constant background location. Android and iOS limit background work differently, and some Android brands close background apps hard to save battery. Google Play also requires a permissions declaration for background location.

Native is better when AR, 3D or heavy camera processing is the product, or when the download must be as small as possible, because every Flutter app carries its own engine. If you already have a large native app and a native team, a rewrite rarely pays; adding Flutter screens might.

Flutter on Budget Android Phones

Many Indian users run low-cost Android phones with little free storage. Flutter runs well on them if the team plans for it:

  • Rendering. Flutter's Impeller renderer is the default on Android 10 and later. Older phones, or those without Vulkan support, fall back to OpenGL. We test on both kinds.
  • Download size. We publish an Android App Bundle, so Google Play sends each phone only what it needs, and check size each release with Flutter's size analysis tool.
  • Startup and memory. The first screen loads only what it needs. Photos are decoded at the size they're shown, and long lists build only the rows on screen. We measure both on a low-RAM phone in Flutter's profile mode, because debug builds mislead.
  • The 16 KB rule. Apps targeting Android 15 or higher must support 16 KB memory page sizes. From 1 February 2027, Google Play won't accept updates that don't. Old plugins with native code are the usual cause, so we check plugins before choosing them.

UPI, OTP, WhatsApp and Indian Languages in Flutter

UPI and payment gateways. Razorpay, PhonePe and Paytm all publish Flutter integration guides. The plugin opens the gateway's payment screen or the customer's UPI app. Your server creates the order and confirms payment with the gateway before marking it paid; the app's "success" screen alone is never trusted. Razorpay's docs say UPI Collect, where the customer types a UPI ID, is deprecated from 28 February 2026 for most payments. New apps use UPI Intent, which opens the customer's UPI app.

OTP login with auto-read. On Android, Google's SMS Retriever API fills in the OTP, as long as the SMS carries an 11-character hash that identifies your app. On iPhone, the keyboard offers the code from Messages. Your OTP template must also be registered on DLT under TRAI's rules, so start that early.

WhatsApp. A "Chat on WhatsApp" button is a simple link with your number and a ready-written message. Order updates are different: your server sends them through the WhatsApp Business Platform, with approved templates and the customer's opt-in.

Hindi, Punjabi and other languages. Each language's text sits in its own ARB file, such as app_hi.arb for Hindi or app_pa.arb for Punjabi. Translators can edit these files directly, and Flutter can list any line still untranslated. Flutter's built-in widgets already support Hindi and Punjabi, among other Indian languages. We bundle Noto fonts for Devanagari and Gurmukhi, and show amounts in Indian format, such as ₹1,00,000.

Flutter for Web: Admin Panels Yes, SEO Websites No

Flutter also builds web apps. Its own web FAQ says it suits app-style experiences such as single-page apps, but is "not suitable for static websites with text-rich flow-based content", and its output doesn't match what search engines need.

So we use Flutter web for admin panels, staff dashboards and customer portals behind a login, reusing the app's data models and rules. Anything that must rank on Google, such as your marketing site or blog, should be a normal HTML website.

Flutter Code Quality Checks You Can Ask For

You don't need to read Dart to check a Flutter team's work. Ask for these, from us or anyone else:

  1. A current Flutter version. Dart 3 enforces null safety, which catches a common class of crashes before release.
  2. Clear layers. Screens only display things; business rules and server calls sit separately, so a pricing change means editing one place, not twenty screens.
  3. One state management approach. This keeps screens in sync, such as a cart count after an item is added. Provider, Riverpod and Bloc are common choices; the team should pick one, say why, and use it everywhere.
  4. Tests on the flows that earn money, especially login and payment.
  5. Automatic builds. Every change builds and runs the tests on a CI server.
  6. Staging and production flavours, with separate servers and keys, so nobody tests on live customer data.
  7. A plugin list giving each plugin's publisher, last update and purpose.
  8. No secrets in the app, crash reporting switched on, and a build guide so another developer can build the app from the repository alone.

Moving an Existing App to Flutter

Add Flutter to your current app. Flutter can run as a module inside an existing Android or iOS app, so new sections are built in Flutter while old screens stay. Per Flutter's add-to-app docs, the Android app must use AndroidX, and only one Flutter module can be packed into an app.

Move fully from React Native or native. Your server and data usually stay; the screens are rebuilt. We keep the same package name, bundle ID and signing set-up, so users get Flutter as a normal update, not a new app. That needs access to your store accounts and signing keys, so we confirm those first.

Is Flutter Right for My App? Free Checker

Answer eight quick questions to see whether Flutter suits your app, which parts may need native code, and what we'd want to discuss first. It shows no price or timeline.

Before you contact us, think about
  • Where will people use it?
  • Are most of your users on budget Android phones?
  • Does the app depend on any of these?
  • Do you already have an app?
  • Must it work with no signal and sync later?
  • Which of these do you need?
  • Which languages?
  • Must the download be as small as possible (users with very little storage)?

How a Flutter Project Runs With Us

  1. Discovery. A call, or a meeting at our Mohali office. You get a written scope, the plugins and native parts needed, the technology decision with reasons, and a fixed quote.
  2. Design. Our UI/UX design team builds reusable buttons, cards and forms that map to Flutter widgets, so screens stay consistent.
  3. Short build rounds. Test builds arrive through Google Play internal testing and Apple TestFlight, so you try progress on your own phone.
  4. Store release. From 31 August 2026, Play Store apps must target Android 16 (API 36). New personal Play accounts must first run a closed test with 12 testers for 14 days, so we suggest an organisation account.
  5. Support. Flutter, plugins and store rules change through the year. A support plan you choose covers upgrades, fixes and new features.

Before You Hire Flutter Developers in India: Questions to Ask

Agency lists help you build a shortlist; see our roundups of the top Flutter development companies in India and how to pick a Flutter partner. Then ask each team:

  • Which plugins will you use for payments, maps or Bluetooth, and who publishes them?
  • Who writes the Kotlin and Swift if a native module is needed?
  • Can you show a Flutter app you built running on a budget Android phone?
  • Which state management approach will you use, and why?
  • What happens when a new Android version or store rule breaks a plugin?
  • Can another developer build the app from the repository and your guide alone?

Flutter App Development FAQs

Is Flutter good for users on budget Android phones?

Yes, if the team plans for it: a small download, a light first screen, images sized for the screen, and testing on low-RAM and older phones. Older or non-Vulkan phones use Flutter's OpenGL fallback, so we test on those too.

Can a Flutter app take UPI payments through Razorpay, PhonePe or Paytm?

Yes. All three publish Flutter integration guides, and UPI Intent opens the customer's own UPI app to pay. Your server confirms each payment with the gateway before an order is marked paid.

Can you build a Flutter app in Hindi and Punjabi?

Yes. Each language's text sits in its own ARB file that a translator can edit, and Flutter's built-in widgets already support Hindi and Punjabi. We bundle Devanagari and Gurmukhi fonts and ask a native speaker on your side to check every translated line.

Can you move our React Native or native app to Flutter?

Yes. A full move rebuilds the screens while your server and data usually stay, and users receive it as a normal update. For a large native app, we can instead add Flutter screens one section at a time.

Can I hire dedicated Flutter developers instead of a fixed project?

Yes. We provide Flutter developers who work as part of your product team, as well as running fixed-scope projects. Team size, working terms and code ownership are agreed in writing before work starts.

How much does Flutter app development cost in India?

It depends on user types, platforms, screens, integrations, offline use and languages, not on the framework alone. We give a fixed, written quote after a short call, with store fees, hosting and SMS costs listed separately.

Will I own the source code of my Flutter app?

Code ownership, licensing and who holds the store and server accounts are agreed in writing in your quote before work starts. You know exactly what you'll receive at handover before you sign.
