How We Build Your MLM Software
- Plan document review. Share your compensation plan in any form: a PDF, an Excel sheet or meeting notes. We go through it rule by rule and raise the questions that usually surface only after launch, such as what happens when an upline is inactive, how refunds affect commission and what the total payout ceiling is.
- Written specification. We write down each rule with a worked example, and you sign it off before development begins.
- Configuration and build. We set up the plan engine, back office, admin panel, e-wallet, KYC, payment gateway and any apps in scope, and you can follow progress on a staging site.

Built Around India’s Direct Selling Rules and TDS
In India, direct selling is governed by the Consumer Protection (Direct Selling) Rules, 2021, made under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Software can’t make a plan legal, but it can make the right things easy and the wrong things hard:
- No pyramid or money circulation schemes (Rule 10). The Rules define a pyramid scheme as one where people benefit from enrolling further subscribers (Rule 3). We tie commission to product sales volume. If your plan pays mainly for joinings, we’ll tell you before we build.
- No entry or subscription fee (Rule 7). Registration can be free, with income starting only from product purchases.
- Verified distributors and records (Rule 5). KYC captures identity and address proof before an ID or payout is activated. The system keeps your register of direct sellers, including the list of delisted sellers your website must show.
- Return and refund rights (Rule 6). Order forms state the buyer’s right to return goods in saleable condition for a full refund, and the refund reverses the related commission.
- Data kept in India (Rule 5). Sensitive personal data is hosted on servers in India.
TDS on commission. Under the Income-tax Act, 2025 (in force from 1 April 2026), TDS on distributor commission falls under section 393(1). This was section 194H under the 1961 Act. The rate is 2% once a distributor’s commission in the tax year crosses ₹20,000, and a higher rate applies without PAN. The software captures PAN, tracks running totals, deducts TDS in the payout run and exports data for your TDS returns. Rates and thresholds change, so confirm the current position with your CA.
