Pick an MLM software company on five things: it runs your plan type in a live demo, you own the source code and data, payouts show their workings and refunds reverse commission, support after launch is written down, and price and scope are fixed before you pay. Use the 12-question scorecard below on every vendor, including us.
This guide is for founders in Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula and across India who are comparing MLM software vendors. We are Coded Idea, an MLM software company in Mohali (Sector 127), near Chandigarh, with 100+ software projects delivered since 2020. We list ourselves among the options, so test us with the same questions. For a list of providers by type, see our guide to the best MLM software companies in India.
Vendor scorecard: 12 questions
Tick each question the vendor can answer with proof (a live demo, a document or an open project). Run it once per vendor. Nothing is sent until you press a send button.
Your answers stay on this page until you send them.
1. Demo: ask to see your plan working, live
Slides and screenshots prove nothing. Ask the vendor to open a demo with your plan type (binary, unilevel, matrix or generation) and do four things in front of you:
- Place a product order and watch the commission appear in the right wallets.
- Refund or cancel that order and check the commission reverses.
- Run a payout preview and open one member’s amount to see how it was calculated.
- Log in as an admin with a limited role and try to change a plan setting.
If a vendor cannot do these live, treat it as a warning. For the full feature list to compare, use our MLM software features checklist, and run the 12-point MLM software demo checklist when you book the demo.
2. Ownership: source code, hosting and data
Three things decide how free you are later: who holds the source code, who owns the server and domain, and who owns the member database. Ask for each answer in the agreement, not on a call. If you do not get the code, every future change depends on that one vendor.
3. Money logic: payouts, reports and records
Commission is money, so you need to trace it. Look for a payout preview, per-member breakdowns, a wallet ledger with dates, and exportable KYC and payout reports for your CA. These records also help you answer a member complaint with data. Software does not make a plan lawful; read our guide to the Direct Selling Rules 2021 and take advice from a lawyer first.
4. References: a live project you can open
Ask for a live project of the same kind, with a link you can open and test yourself. Be careful with vendors who only name logos you cannot check. We do not publish client names without their permission, so ask us for a link we are allowed to share, as you should ask anyone.
5. Support and timeline in writing
- Who answers after launch, through which channel, and how fast?
- How long does support last, and what does it cost after that?
- What is the delivery timeline, and do you see a working demo before the final payment?
Ready-to-launch or custom: what the price buys
| Option | Best for | Coded Idea starting price |

| Ready-to-launch MLM software | A standard binary, unilevel or matrix plan you want live quickly. | From ₹15,000 |

Compare what is included, not just the headline figure. See the MLM software price page for the detail, and the MLM software development service for what we build.
Red flags when comparing vendors
- No live demo of your plan type.
- No answer on who gets the source code.
- Commission that is not reversed on refunds.
- Income promises or a “guaranteed” result.
- Vague price with extras revealed after payment.
- No named person for support after launch.
Frequently asked questions
How do I choose an MLM software company in India?
Compare vendors on five things: whether they can run your plan type in a live demo, who owns the source code and data, whether payouts show their workings and refunds reverse commission, what support covers after launch, and whether price and scope are written down. Then ask for a live project you can open yourself.
How much does MLM software cost in India?
At Coded Idea, ready-to-launch MLM software starts from ₹15,000 and custom MLM software from ₹35,000. Crypto MLM software starts from ₹30,000 ready-to-launch and ₹45,000 custom. Other vendors price differently, so compare what is included, not only the headline number.
Ready-to-launch or custom MLM software: which should I pick?
Ready-to-launch suits a standard binary, unilevel or matrix plan that you want live quickly. Custom suits a plan with your own bonus rules, products or integrations. If you are unsure, send the plan and ask which one fits before you pay for either.
Should I insist on the source code?
It is worth asking for in writing. Without it you depend on one vendor for every change. Ask what is handed over: code, database, admin access, and server details.
Does the software make my MLM legal?
No. Software keeps records and ties commission to recorded product orders, but your plan, product and conduct decide whether the business is lawful. Read our guide to the Direct Selling Rules 2021 and take advice from a lawyer.
What should I check in an MLM software demo?
Place an order and watch the commission appear. Refund it and see the commission reverse. Run a payout preview and open one member’s breakdown. Try the admin roles. If the vendor cannot do these live, treat it as a warning.
