Coded Idea builds MLM software for licensed direct-selling companies in Malaysia: distributor registration, genealogy, commission rules, a ringgit (RM) wallet ledger, FPX and e-wallet checkout through your payment gateway, and approved payout runs to Malaysian bank accounts. The member panel can run in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
Ready-to-launch software starts from ₹15,000 (about RM640 / US$160) and custom builds from ₹35,000 (about RM1,500 / US$370). Our team works from Mohali and Bengaluru, India, and serves Malaysian clients remotely.
Based in Mohali, Punjab (Sector 127) and Bengaluru. No office in Malaysia. Prices are in Indian rupees; ringgit and US dollar figures are approximate, using ECB reference rates on 4 November 2026 (US$1 = ₹94.64 = RM4.064).

Take payments the Malaysian way, pay distributors from an approved run
Malaysian payment gateways offer online banking (FPX), e-wallets and cards side by side, so your checkout should too. We connect it to the gateway you already use or choose, under your own merchant account, and keep payouts as a separate, approved step.
| Rail or provider | What its official page or documentation says | What we build around it |
|---|---|---|
| FPX (PayNet) | Online banking payments from Malaysian bank accounts. Stripe’s FPX documentation lists MYR, RM1 to RM30,000 per consumer payment, and no recurring payments | Checkout for product orders and starter-kit purchases; the order is confirmed only when the gateway callback says paid, so commission never posts on an unpaid order |
| DuitNow (PayNet) | DuitNow Transfer to a mobile number or DuitNow ID; DuitNow QR to pay, send or receive | A “paid by DuitNow QR” order status for event and counter sales, recorded against the distributor when your team confirms the payment |
| E-wallets: TNG eWallet, Boost, GrabPay | Each wallet has its own app; Stripe lists GrabPay for Malaysia in MYR; Billplz and senangPay list e-wallets among their methods | E-wallet buttons at checkout, limited to whatever your gateway account has switched on |
| Payment gateways | iPay88 (now ADAPTIS e-Commerce by NTT DATA Payment Services Malaysia): card, online banking, e-wallet. Billplz: FPX, wallet, card, instalments. senangPay: cards, FPX, e-wallets. Stripe Malaysia: FPX, GrabPay | One integration on your merchant account, a webhook-driven order status, and a refund that reverses the commission it created |
| Payouts to bank accounts | Billplz Payment Order disburses “to any bank account registered in Malaysia”; PayNet lists Interbank GIRO for bulk payments | Approved commission runs sent as a Billplz Payment Order batch, or exported as a payout list for your bank’s bulk-payment upload; each line marked paid or failed |
What this means in the software:
Ledger first, payout second.
Earned commission is posted to the distributor’s RM wallet; the payout is a separate, approved step. A failed payout returns to the wallet.
Approval before money moves.
Your finance team reviews totals, top earners and held accounts, and approves the run before it is sent.
Sen-accurate amounts.
Prices, wallets and commission are stored in ringgit and sen. Rounding rules are written down and tested against your plan’s worked examples.
Fees stay visible.
Gateway and payout fees are charged by the provider to your account; the software can record them per run so reports match your bank statement.
Provider methods, limits and fees change. We confirm them with your gateway account during setup.
What Malaysia’s Direct Sales and Anti-Pyramid Scheme Act 1993 says, and how the software can reflect it
General information, not legal advice. Take advice from a Malaysian lawyer on your specific plan before launch.
In Malaysia, a direct sales business may only be carried on by a company that holds a licence under the Direct Sales and Anti-Pyramid Scheme Act 1993 (Act 500), in Malay Akta Jualan Langsung dan Skim Anti-Piramid 1993. The licensing ministry is the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN). Operating without a licence is an offence: a company faces a fine of up to RM1 million, and up to RM2 million for a repeat offence (section 4).
The licence application must describe the company’s marketing and trading scheme (section 5), and KPDN’s licence checklist includes a form for justifying an amendment to the marketing plan. In practice, the plan your software runs should be the plan you filed.
Part VA prohibits promoting a pyramid scheme, with fines of RM1 million to RM10 million for a company (section 27B). A pyramid scheme is any scheme with all or any of the ten features in the Act’s Schedule, which include:
- bonuses paid mainly for recruiting rather than for selling goods or services,
- no written contract,
- a compulsory purchase or minimum payment to join or qualify,
- pressure to buy more than can be resold or used,
- no refund or buy-back policy,
- not being allowed to withdraw, or
- being encouraged to buy more than one position.
KPDN said in October 2025 that it is preparing amendments to the Act, so check the current text before launch.
Software cannot make a plan lawful. It can make sure the plan approved for your licence is the plan that actually runs:
| Feature in the Act 500 Schedule | How the software can support it |
|---|---|
| Bonus mainly for recruiting (items 1–2) | Commission is calculated from product and service sales volume; sign-up or joining fees can be excluded from every commission base |
| No written contract (item 3) | Sign-up records which version of your distributor contract the member accepted, and when |
| Compulsory purchase or minimum payment to join or qualify (item 4) | No forced starter pack: joining and qualification rules are set to what your approved plan says, and every rule change is logged |
| Pressure to stock up (item 5) | Optional per-period purchase limits and alerts on unusually large orders |
| No refund or buy-back (items 6–7) | Refund and buy-back workflows; a refund reverses the commission it created, at every level it paid |
| Cannot withdraw (item 9) | Members can resign; status changes stay in the audit log |
| Several positions per person (item 10) | One position per member by default, with duplicate checks on phone number and email |
| The plan you filed with KPDN | Plan rules are versioned with effective dates, so you can show which rules ran in which period |

Distributor data under the PDPA 2010
Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Act 709) was amended by the Personal Data Protection (Amendment) Act 2024, and the Personal Data Protection Commissioner has since issued circulars on appointing a data protection officer and on notifying data breaches (pdp.gov.my).
An MLM system holds names, phone numbers, addresses and bank details for every distributor. We set up:
- role-based access, so a branch or support team sees only what it needs;
- sensitive fields kept out of exports by default;
- an audit log of who viewed or changed member records;
- no collection of MyKad (IC) numbers unless your process needs them.
Whether you need a data protection officer, and how you report a breach, are decisions for your company and its adviser. The software can keep the records they ask for.
Bahasa Malaysia and English, Chinese when your team needs it
Malay is Malaysia’s national language, and English is widely used in business. We build the member and admin panels in English, with Bahasa Malaysia labels and messages for the member panel. Simplified Chinese member-panel labels can be scoped as part of a custom build. You supply or approve the translations; we wire them in.

A Malaysian project, run online from Mohali and Bengaluru
Coded Idea is a software company founded in 2020 that has delivered 100+ projects. Our offices are in Mohali (Sector 127, Punjab) and Bengaluru. We do not have an office in Malaysia.
Time difference: Malaysia (MYT, UTC+8) is 2 hours 30 minutes ahead of India (IST, UTC+5:30), so a 15:00 call in Kuala Lumpur is 12:30 in Mohali. Malaysian afternoons fall inside the Indian working day.

MLM software in Malaysia: your questions answered
Is MLM legal in Malaysia?
This is general information, not legal advice. Direct selling, including multi-level marketing plans, is carried on in Malaysia by companies licensed by KPDN under the Direct Sales and Anti-Pyramid Scheme Act 1993 (Act 500). Promoting a pyramid scheme is an offence under section 27B; the Act’s Schedule lists its features, such as bonuses paid mainly for recruiting. Ask a Malaysian lawyer to review your plan before launch.
Do you have an office in Malaysia?
No. Coded Idea’s offices are in Mohali (Sector 127, Punjab) and Bengaluru, India. We work with Malaysian clients online: video walkthroughs, screen-share demos, WhatsApp and email. Malaysia is 2 hours 30 minutes ahead of India, so Malaysian afternoons fall inside our working day.
How much does MLM software cost for a Malaysian company?
Ready-to-launch MLM software starts from ₹15,000 (about RM640 or US$160) and custom builds from ₹35,000 (about RM1,500 or US$370). Crypto MLM starts from ₹30,000, or ₹45,000 custom. Hybrid and enterprise work is quoted separately. Ringgit and dollar figures are approximate, at ECB rates on 4 November 2026. Gateway fees are charged by the provider; hosting is confirmed in your written quote.
Can the software take FPX, DuitNow and e-wallet payments?
Yes, through your own payment gateway account. FPX and e-wallets such as GrabPay are offered by gateways serving Malaysia, including Billplz, senangPay, iPay88 and Stripe; which wallets appear depends on your account. Orders are confirmed from the gateway callback, and approved commission can be paid to Malaysian bank accounts, for example through Billplz Payment Order.
Can the member panel be in Bahasa Malaysia?
Yes. We build the member panel in Bahasa Malaysia and English, and Simplified Chinese labels can be added in a custom build. You supply or approve the translations, and members can switch language from their profile.
Can you build a crypto MLM plan for a Malaysian company?
We build crypto MLM software, from ₹30,000 or ₹45,000 custom. In Malaysia, digital currencies and tokens can be prescribed as securities under a 2019 Order, and only exchanges registered with the Securities Commission Malaysia may operate. Confirm your structure with a Malaysian lawyer before launch.
