Commission on products. Payouts to MoMo.
Coded Idea builds MLM software for companies in Ghana: distributor sign-up, genealogy, commission rules based on product sales, a cedi (GHS) wallet ledger, and payouts to mobile money wallets and Ghanaian bank accounts through your own payment-provider account.
Ready-to-launch MLM software starts from ₹15,000 (about GH₵1,850 or US$160) and custom builds from ₹35,000 (about GH₵4,300 or US$370). We work from Mohali and Bengaluru, India, and run Ghana projects online.
Based in Mohali, Punjab (Sector 127) and Bengaluru. No office in Ghana. Prices are in Indian rupees; cedi and US dollar figures are approximate, at ExchangeRate-API rates of 5 November 2026 (US$1 ≈ ₹94.62 ≈ GH₵11.67).

MLM software in Ghana: three ways to pay distributors, and when each fits
Distributors in Ghana can be paid to a mobile money wallet or to a bank account. The software keeps commission in a cedi ledger and hands each transfer to the route you choose.
MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash (formerly Vodafone Cash) and AT Money (formerly AirtelTigo Money). GhIPSS’s Mobile Money Interoperability service moves funds between wallets on different networks, and between wallets and bank accounts.
A real-time account-to-account transfer between financial institutions, available 24/7, with the recipient getting value in real time.
GhIPSS’s bulk payment service for paying many bank accounts at once; its own list of uses includes commissions. Standard runs credit within 24 hours and Express within 4 hours of the payment file reaching your bank; a near-real-time option credits within minutes.
GhIPSS (Ghana Interbank Payment and Settlement Systems) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Bank of Ghana. We build the payout step on the provider you choose, under your own merchant account and KYC:
| Provider | What its own documentation says | What we build around it |
|---|---|---|
| Paystack | Transfer recipients of type ghipss (Ghana bank accounts, GHS) and mobile_money (GHS); a bulk transfer API; its Ghana mobile money list shows MTN, AirtelTigo and Vodafone codes | Each approved run sent as a bulk transfer; recipient type set per distributor; status written back per transfer |
| Hubtel | Transfer to MoMo wallet, and transfer to any bank account on the GhIPSS network | Wallet and bank payouts from one approved run; a failed transfer goes back to the distributor’s cedi wallet |
| Flutterwave | Ghana (GHS) payouts to mobile money and to bank accounts; listed times: mobile money instant, bank same day | Used where you already hold a Flutterwave account; payout status updated from its notifications |
| Your bank (ACH Direct Credit) | Bulk credit to many bank accounts from one payment file | An export of the approved run in the file layout your bank asks for |
What this means in the software:
Cedi ledger first.
Commission is posted to the distributor’s GHS wallet; the transfer is a separate step.
Network saved with each wallet.
MTN, Telecel or AT is stored with the wallet number, so the payout uses the right provider code.
Approval before money moves.
Finance reviews totals, top earners and held accounts, then approves the run.
Fees on the record.
Provider fees are charged by the provider to your account; the software can record them per run so reports match your statements.
Provider features, fees and timings change. We confirm them on your own account during setup.

Is MLM legal in Ghana? What the Securities and Exchange Commission has said
General information, not legal advice. Ask a Ghanaian lawyer to review your compensation plan before launch.
We did not find a Ghana law written specifically for direct selling or MLM. The clearest public signals come from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), which regulates Ghana’s securities market under the Securities Industry Act, 2016 (Act 929).
- Promised returns are the warning signIn a 2018 public notice, the SEC described high guaranteed returns, with no disclosure of risk or ability to pay, as tell-tale features of “Pyramid” and “Ponzi Schemes”, where new depositors’ money is used to pay earlier depositors because there is no real underlying investment.
- No licence, no investment schemeA February 2026 SEC notice cites section 109 of Act 929 (no capital market activity without an SEC licence) and section 206 (a contravention is an offence), plus section 294(1)(b) of the Companies Act, 2019 (Act 992) on public invitations to invest. The scheme it named took deposits, promised fixed daily returns and paid for vague tasks labelled “Job 1” to “Job 10”.
- Named in publicIn July 2026 the SEC named 23 entities operating online without licences to offer investment products, as reported by Citi Newsroom on 22 July 2026.
Software cannot make a plan lawful. It can make sure the plan your lawyer has reviewed is the plan that runs:
| What the SEC warnings describe | How the software can reflect it |
|---|---|
| Deposits that earn fixed or high promised returns | No ROI, daily-income or fixed-return widgets; distributors see earnings only from real product orders |
| New members’ money paying earlier members | Commission calculated from product order volume only; joining or registration fees left out of every commission base |
| Daily income for vague tasks (“Job 1” to “Job 10”) | No paid-task, click-to-earn or daily check-in modules |
| Packages sold as an investment | A starter kit is sold as a product with its own item code and price, not as a slot or package that earns returns |
| Product returns | A returned or refunded order reverses the commission it created, up every level it paid |
| Questions from the SEC, a bank or your auditor | A dated audit log of plan-rule changes, payout runs and admin actions, plus an exportable copy of the active plan rules |

Distributor data under the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843)
The Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) established the Data Protection Commission (DPC). Section 27(1) says a data controller who intends to process personal data shall register with the Commission.
The DPC’s own FAQs add three practical points: a third party you share personal data with should be registered and follow the Act’s eight principles; hosting servers in a country that does not regulate the processing of personal information is not advisable; and a distributor’s access request must be answered within forty days (section 35). Ask your adviser how this applies to your hosting choice and to any support access a development team in India has.
Official source: Data Protection Commission, Help and FAQs
What we set up
- Role-based access, so a branch or support team sees only what it needs.
- Sensitive fields (bank and MoMo numbers, Ghana Card numbers) kept out of exports by default.
- A per-distributor data export for access requests, and a correction workflow (section 33).
- Hosting with a major cloud provider in the region you choose; you own the code, data and accounts.
English panels, with room for a Ghanaian language
We build the admin and member panels, e-mails and SMS templates in English. If your distributors would read them more easily in Twi, Ewe, Ga or another Ghanaian language, a second language can be scoped as part of a custom build: you supply or approve the translations and we wire them in.

A crypto wallet, payout or token in your plan may need a licensed partner. Check your structure with a Ghanaian lawyer before launch; we make no promise that a given structure is allowed.

A Ghana project, run online from Mohali and Bengaluru
Coded Idea is a software company founded in 2020 that has delivered 100+ projects. Our offices are in Mohali (Sector 127, Punjab) and Bengaluru. We do not have an office in Ghana.
Time difference: Ghana keeps Greenwich Mean Time (UTC+0) all year; India (IST, UTC+5:30) is 5 hours 30 minutes ahead. A 10:00 start in Accra is 15:30 in Mohali, so an Accra morning overlaps with the Indian afternoon.

MLM software in Ghana: questions we get asked
Is MLM legal in Ghana?
This is general information, not legal advice. We did not find a Ghana law written specifically for direct selling or MLM. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) warns that promised high returns on deposits, paid from new members’ money, are features of pyramid and Ponzi schemes, and under the Securities Industry Act, 2016 (Act 929) investment activity needs an SEC licence. Keep commission tied to real product sales, never to deposits, and ask a Ghanaian lawyer to review your plan.
Do you have an office in Ghana?
No. Coded Idea’s offices are in Mohali (Sector 127, Punjab) and Bengaluru, India. We work with companies in Ghana online through video calls, screen-share demos, WhatsApp and email. India is 5 hours 30 minutes ahead of Ghana, so a 10:00 call in Accra is 15:30 in Mohali.
How much does MLM software in Ghana cost?
Ready-to-launch MLM software starts from ₹15,000 (about GH₵1,850 or US$160) and custom builds from ₹35,000 (about GH₵4,300 or US$370). Crypto MLM starts from ₹30,000, or ₹45,000 custom. Hybrid and enterprise work is quoted separately. Cedi and dollar figures are approximate, at ExchangeRate-API rates on 5 November 2026. Provider fees and hosting are confirmed in your written quote.
Can the software pay distributors to MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash or AT Money?
Yes. We build the payout step on your own Paystack, Hubtel or Flutterwave account. Commission goes to a cedi wallet first, your team approves the run, and each transfer goes to the distributor’s mobile money wallet or Ghanaian bank account. Paystack’s Ghana mobile money list still uses the older AirtelTigo and Vodafone names for AT and Telecel.
Can you build a crypto MLM plan for a Ghanaian company?
We build crypto MLM software, from ₹30,000 or ₹45,000 custom. In Ghana, the Virtual Asset Service Providers Act, 2025 (Act 1154) requires virtual-asset businesses to be licensed or registered by the Bank of Ghana or the SEC, depending on the activity. A crypto wallet or payout may need a licensed partner. Confirm your structure with a Ghanaian lawyer before launch.
What should I prepare before the first call?
Your compensation plan document, your product list with cedi prices, how you want to pay distributors (mobile money, bank or both), and whether your company is registered with the Data Protection Commission. If you are moving from another system, a sample export of members and wallet balances helps us scope it. Please do not send real distributor MoMo or bank details before a contract.
Send us your plan. We will show you the build.
Choose your plan type, how you pay distributors and your stage. We reply with the next step and a starting price that fits.
Please leave real distributor, MoMo and bank records out of your first message.
